This 6 Days Morocco Tour from Casablanca crosses the country from Casablanca to Fes. You travel to Marrakech, cross the High Atlas to Ait Ben Haddou and the Dades and Todra valleys, reach the dunes of Merzouga, and continue along the Ziz Valley and through the Middle Atlas to Fes.
On arrival at Casablanca Mohammed V Airport your driver welcomes you and transfers you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time you can rest or head to the Corniche and the great Hassan II Mosque set over the ocean. Overnight in Casablanca.
After breakfast we drive south to Marrakech, arriving in the red city by midday or early afternoon. The rest of the day is free to start exploring the souks and the lively Jemaa el-Fna square with its food stalls and performers. Overnight in Marrakech.
We leave Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m), stopping for panoramic views over Berber villages and kasbahs. We visit the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou — backdrop of films such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia — then continue to Ouarzazate.
Passing Kalaat M’Gouna, the valley of roses, and Skoura, we reach the Dades Valley, where we spend the night.
After breakfast we drive to the Todra Gorges, a canyon with 300-metre limestone walls where we stop to walk and have lunch. We then continue via Tinghir and Erfoud — known for its date palms and fossils — to reach Merzouga in the late afternoon.
A camel caravan takes us over the dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset to our desert camp for dinner, music around the fire and a night under the stars.
After breakfast we leave Merzouga and drive north through Rissani and along the beautiful Ziz Valley, with its vast palm groves and panoramic viewpoints. We continue climbing towards the Middle Atlas to the peaceful mountain village of Bouaajoul, where we spend the night in a quiet rural setting.
We continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in the cedar forests of Azrou to look for the wild Barbary macaques, and pass through the alpine-style town of Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco”. We arrive in Fes in the afternoon. Overnight in Fes.
