Enjoy the authenticity and tranquillity of the Sahara without giving up comfort with an overnight at a Merzouga Luxury Desert Camp. Reached by a camel trek at sunset, the camp offers spacious, well-equipped private tents, fine dining and all the magic of a night in the dunes of Erg Chebbi combined with modern comfort.
Each luxury tent comes with a real bed, quality linens and its own private en-suite bathroom with hot water, so you can watch the stars and still enjoy a proper night’s sleep. Candle-lit dinners are served under the sky, and the camp’s setting deep among the dunes keeps it peaceful and far from the crowds.
The Merzouga Luxury Desert Camp experience is private and can be tailored with extras such as a private chef, sandboarding, quad biking or a 4×4 transfer instead of the camel ride. It is available year-round and is ideal for couples, honeymooners and families who want the desert with a touch of indulgence.
Late afternoon – Arrival in Merzouga: You are welcomed at the edge of the dunes, leave any extra luggage in safe storage and prepare for the trek to camp.
Sunset camel trek: A camel caravan carries you over the golden Erg Chebbi dunes as the sun sets, arriving at the luxury camp in the soft evening light. A 4×4 transfer is available if you prefer not to ride.
Evening in camp: Settle into your private en-suite tent, then enjoy welcome tea and a multi-course Moroccan dinner served under the stars, followed by Berber music around the fire and stargazing.
Overnight: Sleep in a spacious, comfortable tent with a real bed and private bathroom.
Sunrise & departure: Wake for a stunning desert sunrise and breakfast, then return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 to continue your journey.
